Who is JDM sports?

JDM stands for James D. Magdaleno and I am absolutely in love with sports photography. I shoot freelance sports photos for clients here in the local Lincoln, NE area. Funny though when I was in the Military I was an aircraft mechanic for 2 and half years. I figured that an aircraft mechanic was what I was going to do for a living the rest of my life. I have always loved sports since I was little but when I grew up I realized I wasn’t going to go pro in any particular sport so sports photography was a natural fit. This year I was fortunate to be named the University of Nebraska wrestling program official photographer and was selected to cover their first Big XII championship. My albums can be viewed at www.huskerwrestling.com. Also this year I was asked to cover the US World Team Wrestling Trials in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Thank you for checking out our blog and our site. Summer is Finally here...sort of

Baseball means the nice weather is finally here and no one appreciates more than this guy. Whether it’s shooting remotes up high or using wide angles for perspective I am always ready to try something new to get those images some photographers would shy away from. I have a certain tenacity about me and I am some what of an perfectionist when it comes to my images.  On average I only keep about 10% of all photos shot for any given event.  I think my worst critic is myself.

I only use professional Nikon equipment for every image I capture. My clients depend on me to deliver tack sharp images consistently time and time again. I use FX and DX format cameras with Nikon glass to achieve optimal image quality.

There is no sport I can’t cover. whether its field sports or something inside an arena I have the discipline and the equipment to capture any image my client needs for their publication or their own personal collection.
